Tony advises clients in mergers and acquisitions and also on a wide range of commercial and corporate finance matters. He handles both local and international M&A and JV deals involving parties from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. His clients include investment companies holding international portfolios, major manufacturers of consumer and industrial goods, hotel project owners, F&B franchisors, telecom companies, entertainment groups, and various substantial owners and licensees of trademarks, designs and patents. He provides industry-focused advice and assistance in IPOs and other listed companies' corporate finance deals, especially in relation to matters involving intellectual property, technology and information technology. On the litigious side, he also handles intellectual property litigation, commercial litigation and compliance-related cases, and his experience includes handling the first insider dealing criminal trial in Hong Kong and also the first case ever tried by the Hong Kong Copyright Tribunal.

Jennie started her practice in Hong Kong in 2002 and has been engaged mainly in litigation since. She handles disputes covering a wide range of topics including, in particular, shareholders disputes, intellectual property infringements, employment disputes, building management disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, insolvency, personal injuries and matrimonial matters. In addition to the litigious side of her practice, Jennie also has hands-on experience in corporate and project property transactions, joint ventures and other commercial transactions, which has been a great help to her main practice in litigation. Due to her advantageous background, Jennie is often consulted by our commercial team when touching on potential disputes or dispute resolution related issues.

Jonathan Cheng

Jonathan's focus is on corporate finance. He handles IPOs, secondary fund raising, compliance related matters. He was recently involved in two successful IPOs on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, in which HK$140 million and HK$170 million were raised respectively. Before joining the legal field, Jonathan was an engineer in the automotive system and facility management industry. As a lawyer, he now also advises clients in the formation of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, having an obvious advantage in understanding the business of industrial clients.
